The Environmental Microbiology: Control of Foodborne and Waterborne Diseases course is around the corner!

A green apple on a stack of red books with a blue backgroundAs education is a key component of the NoroCORE mission, we like to share news of educational opportunities relevant to foodborne viruses. The CDC and Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health are cosponsoring another Environmental Microbiology: Control of Foodborne and Waterborne Diseases course next month (this course was also offered last January). The course is designed for public health students and practitioners and focuses on the surveillance of the major water and foodborne diseases (including biological organisms and chemical agents), as well as how the collected information impacts policy development. Several of our collaborators from CDC and Emory are involved in teaching the course.

The six-day course is from January 6-11, 2014 and will be held at Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health in Atlanta. The short application and course information are available online. The application is due December 15th 2013 or until the seats are filled, so now is the time to sign up!
