Shurrita Davis is a Research Technician within the Center for Excellence in Post Harvest Technologies (CEPHT) located on the North Carolina Research Campus (NCRC), Kannapolis, NC. Shurrita received her BS in Biological Science and MS in Food and Nutritional Science from North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, NC. Her thesis work was on Cytotoxic and Molecular Activity of extracts from Rosa canina on the cancer lines (MCF-7 and HCT-116). In 2010, she joined NC A&T SU CEPHT as a research technician focusing in the area of food safety and microbiology.
