Mary Wikswo received her Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, with concentrations in Global Health and Infectious Disease. During graduate school, she began her work at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as a Laboratory Assistant in the Rickettsial Zoonoses Branch. In 2007, Ms. Wikswo joined the Division of Viral Diseases at CDC as part of the Respiratory Team and later joined the Viral Gastroenteritis Team as an Epidemiologist in 2009. There, she currently participates in several projects related to norovirus and rotavirus epidemiology, including the New Vaccine Surveillance Network (NVSN) and the National Outbreak Reporting System (NORS). Ms. Wikswo has also authored or coauthored several articles in peer-reviewed journals related to her work in norovirus and rotavirus.
